Aston Martin One-77

Aston Martin said it would have a "property" here in Paris, and indeed it did. The Aston Martin One-77 made its "debut," but it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer to see the British automaker's $1,000,000+ super coupe.

Judging by the limited upskirt shots in our gallery, the length of the One-77 easily surpasses the DB9 and the stylized front end, with blacked-out headlamps, ensures that the One-77 will spend more time in the comfy confines of heated and carpeted garages then out on the track where it's 7.3-liter V12, carbon fiber monocoque and massive brakes will be put to good use.

Though its first official public debut isn't scheduled until early next week, the 2011 Chevy Volt has been introduced to the internet early courtesy of the The Car Connection, which published these apparently official pictures of the revolutionary series hybrid today. In the past few weeks we've seen official teasers shots of the car mixed with spy video taken on the set of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, all of which have only served to increase excitement ahead of the car's official debut next week. These pics give up the goods like no others, however, and show various GM execs and engineers directly responsible for its development posing alongside like proud papas. The list includes, in order, Tony Posawatz, Bob Lutz, Bob Boniface, Frank Weber, and Andrew Farah.

Ferrari California

For the unveiling of its first front-engined V8 sportscar, Ferrari rolled out a dedicated launch site. But up until now, the site (as well as the company's media portal) only gave us a glimpse at a handful of studio shots. Germany's AutoBild, meanwhile, managed to obtain a handful of new shots of the California out in the open, inside and out and front to back. Natural sunlight seems to soften the sportscar's lines a fair deal... but don't take our word for it: Check out the images in the gallery below to see for yourself.

Siriusly: Lamborghini offering lifetime satellite radio subscriptions

Buy a Lamborghini and be prepared to shell out big bucks... not just for the initial purchase (or the more likely financing arrangement), but for operational costs throughout the lifetime of the vehicle. Even before the warranty runs out, you're looking at big figures for gas, new tires, the inevitable scraped chin spoiler... At least Murcielago buyers have one less upkeep fee to worry about now, as Lamborghini has hammered out a deal with Sirius to provide lifetime subscriptions to its satellite radio service.

A couple of obvious questions arise. For one, who would want to listen to the radio when there's a sonorous V12 revving behind your head? Aside from that, however, is the uncertainty over the future of Sirius service with its impending merger with rival service provider XM. We'd like to think that few LP640's will be sitting still long enough to worry about that, though.

World’s First Super Conductor Electric Powered Car From Japan

Japanese manufacturer Sumitomo Electric has done something that has not been done before; they have created an electric car that boosts its performance through the use of liquid nitrogen-cooled super-conduction. The result is greater efficiency and range than regular electric vehicles.

So what is the advantage of using super conductors in car engines? At -200C, electrical resistance and current loss are all but eliminated. What that means is that the engine will operate more efficiently and produce greater torque. Sumitomo are claiming that their prototype travels 10% further than conventional electric vehicles on the same battery.
