Whaddya know how to fix this error? Time and Expense: Report Server is unavailable.

You get this error "Report Server is unavailable. (E0491)" when you try to print from the Time and Expense website. Click the see more to get details.

Exceptions:
javax.resource.ResourceException: 8008 :Login
Load Balancer cannot locate member. The specified volume is not online.

Troubleshooting:
- Open Actuate Management Console, the URL link should be something like this "http://localhost:8900/acadmin/login.jsp" for default setup. To open, click on Start, All Programs, Actuate, then Actuate Management Console.
- Login to volume: System Administration ; here you should see the server volume name not System Administration.

Resolution:
- Go to Control Panel
- Services
- Restart "Actuate Process Management Daemon 7"

Test it again:
- Open Actuate Management Console, the URL link should be something like this "http://localhost:8900/acadmin/login.jsp" for default setup. To open, click on Start, All Programs, Actuate, then Actuate Management Console.
- Login to volume: servername; where servername is your Time & Expense server.
- Login as administration and your password. If you haven't change it, it should be d*l**k12*.
- In Actuate web page, click on deltek folder.
- Click on tc folder.
- Click on temp folder, here you will see the temp files. The system should be deleting these files after 1 day. If not, click "select all items", act upon selected items, choose Delete.
- Close Actuate web page.

This will resolve this problem.

HOWTO Deltek troubleshooting invalid SiteWideDirectory entry.

This is an error when you try to connect to the Deltek repository server.

Error & Warnings:
Error: x:\data\Deltek\GCSPremier\SiteData is an invalid SiteWideDirectory entry in DTLocal.ini

Description:
Error: x:\data\Deltek\GCSPremier\SiteData is an invalid SiteWideDirectory entry in DTLocal.ini

As you can see, the Error & Warnings and Description doesn't make any sense though pay attention of DTLocal.ini file.

The DTLocal.ini hold the connection string from your workstation and to the Deltek repository server.

To troubleshoot this problem, please follow these steps:

• First, you have to determine the actual network path of your Deltek repository server. For example, x:\data\Deltek\GCSPremier\SiteData where x is the network drive and the Deltek folder.
• Go to workstation Windows directory and search for DTLocal.ini file.
• Open in Notepad, you will be able to see SiteWideDirectory folder path. For example, SiteWideDirectory=x:\data\Deltek\GCSPremier\SiteData. This path should point to the correct Deltek folder.
• Next, update the network path in \Deltek\GCSPremier\SiteData\DTSITE.ini file. The DTSITE.ini file contains network path that should connect to the right folder of your Deltek repository server.
• In \Deltek\GCSPremier\STARTUP folder update DTSHARED.ini using the correct network path to Deltek server.
• In \Deltek\GCSPremier\Setup folder update _GCSPINS.ini using the correct network path to the Deltek server. In other installation, the Setup folder contained current version and service patch directory. You need to check these subfolders to update the _GCSPINS.ini file.
• Lastly, go to the user workstation and check if you can connect to your Deltek Server and check the shared folder.

HOWTO Assign the correct access permission?

• Create a Deltek Group in your Active Directory (AD). For example, let's call it as Group Deltek Users.
• Assign users to the Group Deltek Users.
• Assign Group Deltek Users to the Deltek server path with read and write access. For example, the company network path is \kingnet002\finance\software\deltek directory, where kingnet002 is the server, finance is the main folder, software is subfolder and deltek a subfolder. You will only assign the Group Deltek Users to the deltek directory. The users is denied access to \kingnet002\finance\ or \kingnet002\finance\software\ folders.
• Test user access.
